We’re getting a bit of autumn rain today, which must be what led me to find this copper rain chain. Instructables member Tool Using Animal has a nice tutorial for making your own using copper tubing to form the rings of the chain.
In Japan, rain chains (kusari doi) are a common alternative to a downspout. They’re really pretty, and rather than hiding the water inside a metal or plastic enclosure, rain chains turns your roof runoff into a decorative waterfall.
