The Crafy Chica Garden Glam Challenge is all about the bling! Plants and flowers are the inspiration, the goal is to bring the colorful, sparkly sprit of the Crafty Chica to your gardens, potted plants, and of course, gardening accessories. Stretch your imagination, and let your creativity, and the glitter, flow!
There are fabulous prizes from iLoveToCreate.com, but the real reason to participate is of course, to go nuts adding glitter to everything! To enter, just add photos of your Garden Glam projects to the Crafty Chica Challenge Flickr Pool. For all the details, and to find a badge to display on your own blog, visit the challenge page. It’s that easy! I can’t wait to see what you make!
Bling Out Your Hat
Materials:
Plain straw hat
Fabric flowers
Ribbon
Glitter
Fabric glue
Step 1: Dig around your trims and ribbons for the perfect color combination of flowers and bows.
Step 2: Apply fabric glue to the edges of the fabric flower petals.
Step 3: Dip the glue into a contrasting color of glitter, to give them the perfect amount of bling.
Step 4: Tie bows using different types of ribbon. Combine them together with a bit of glue.
Step 4: Cut the brim from the donor hat. Measure out a wide ribbon for the new brim.
Step 5: Add fabric glue, per the manufacturer’s recommendations, to the ends of the ribbon brim. Use a bit more glue to secure it to the hat.
Step 6: Attach the sparkly flowers with a dab of glue, then add the bows. I found a cute butterfly that I placed in at the very end. Voila!

Wire cutters
