Glass is one of the most amazing materials in the world. Legend has it that it was first created by lightning striking on the beach. The intense heat from the lightning fused together the silica in the sand, and glass was born. Modern glass blowing has evolved into an incredible art that many people spend a lifetime mastering. I have always wanted to learn the craft, but find myself daunted by the necessary tools and disciplined skills that glass blowing requires. Luckily, through ILoveToCreate.com, I discovered Object Art’s Color Bazaar.

ILoveToCreate.com has made it simple for anyone to craft their own perfect glass art. Start with a plain glass object, and transform it from the inside out. Add a bit of Sparkle Fuse liquid, and then let your love of color guide you. The Color Bazaar pigments are glittery, shimmery powders that fuse right to the glass. The combinations are endless, and each piece you make will be unique. I created a palate that reflects my vision of harvest celebration colors, then channeled my inner Dale Chihuly to craft this gorgeous glass chandelier in just an afternoon.

Step 3: Gently shake the bottle of Sparkle Fuse, then pour a small amount into the opening. Turn the glass while you pour in the liquid to completely coat the inside.

Step 4: Before you drain the Sparkle Fuse from the glass, add a few scoops of Color Bazaar Pigment. For this piece, I started with Gunmetal. Swirl the pigment and the Sparkle Fuse together to coat the glass with a thin layer of glitter.

Step 5: Set the glass globe upside down in a paper cup to let the excess liquid drain out. A thin, translucent layer of color will remain behind.

Step 6: Once the Sparkle Fuse has drained, add a few scoops of a new color. I chose Blue Topaz for my second coat, and it shined through the Gunmetal to create a shade of silver that shines like diamonds.

Step 7: Cover the opening with your thumb, and gently shake the glass to spread the glitter around the inside. Once you are pleased with the coverage, set the glass to dry in the paper cup and get started on the next sphere. Alternate colors, amounts, and layering to create totally unique colors and effects. Using just these 5 colors, I made 15 pieces and no two were alike!

Step 8: When all the glass is dry, replace the tops. Cut 1 yard of wire and attach it to the hanger in the top of the glass by making a simple loop and securing it with a crimp bead. Cut each wire a different length, and then make an identical loop in the loose end of the wire to hang the pieces.

Step 9: Create a clustered chandelier of sparkling glass by hanging the pieces at different lengths in a group. Hang this beautiful art over your table, in an entry way, or any place where you would like to add dramatic, glittering color.
