The “Emotoscope” by Kenichi Okada (a student in the Design Interactions department at the Royal College of Art) is a portable device that turns current digital photography and filmmaking into relics from the past. His device shoots video as if it were taken from a Super 8 film camera from the 1950s and 60s. The idea is to instill a sense of the past into today’s often sterile photographic process.
