Amy Sedaris on CRAFT (and on crafting)

Subscribers of CRAFT will be happy to know that your next issue will be arriving in your mailboxes any day now. And there’s reason to celebrate: Amy Sedaris‘s smiling face is on the cover. In the issue, which happens to celebrate the act of celebration, she shows us how to make her favorite party cake, and shares her thoughts on crafting.
We got to see Amy last night at the City Arts and Lectures show in San Francisco, yukking it up with Daniel Handler, aka Lemony Snicket. Amy had the audience in stitches, talking about how she keeps her hands occupied at all times by crafting. On this trip to San Francisco, she brought a stack of handmade woven pot-holders that she made with a weaving kit. As we left the theater, the line of fans waiting to buy the potholders from her was a mile long.
We handed her the hot-off-the-presses CRAFT Volume 10. “It came out great!” she exclaimed, seeing herself on the cover. We agree, and hope you do too.
