Without a doubt, we CRAFT contributors geek out on crafts all the time. But we hold a special place in our hearts for crafts that celebrate truly nerd-like themes: video games, Star Wars, robots, Doctor Who, and so on. Well, Susan Beal (herself a friend of CRAFT) has just released a nerd-tastic book, World of Geekcraft.

The 25 projects in this book cover a wide range of craft techniques, including jewelry-making, paper craft, sewing, knitting, screen printing, wood working, and even a little cake decorating. They range in difficulty from Not a Jedi Yet (beginner) to Warp Speed (advanced).
In terms of geekery, you’ll find homages to a wide range of classic and modern themes, including video games, Harry Potter, Star Trek, space science, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dungeons & Dragons, steampunk and many more. It’s a craft book that not only celebrates geekery, but will likely introduce you to some interesting new ways to geek out.
