Apparently, it’s the start of wool blanket cleaning season here in the Northern Hemisphere because, according to this illuminating tutorial from Apartment Therapy, you can clean your wool blankets with nothing but a broom and an adequate supply of dry, powdery snow!
People have been cleaning with snow for ages. It’s a process that some might call “old-fashioned” (some being my mail carrier), some might even call you “crazy” if they happen to catch a glimpse you mid-process (also the mail carrier). I love this method because it’s free, and just about as natural as you can get when it comes to cleaning products.
So, the next time your yard is blanketed with snow, be sure to cover it with your wool blankets too!
