What Do Coding Apps, Duct Tape Wallets, and iPad ‘Bots Have in Common?

While the answer to that question may not immediately be apparent, it will all become clear. In and of themselves they’re each like nuggets of inspiration for various types of Makers, but what brings them together is that they’re all on view in the Capital One booth at the first annual National Maker Faire in Washington, D.C.

Marc de Vinck swung by to talk with David and Carly from the Capital One team. David is there to “tell our story” on behalf of engineers and designers in the company. Carly, with the Community Team, gives a brief synopsis of Capital One’s C1 Coders program in the video below. She also mentions Future Edge, an initiative which will be “investing $150 million over the next 5 years, in skills for the 21st century, small business, and financial well-being.” These are sectors that she says are “made up of Makers.”

So whether you just want to go hands-on with some of their projects, or inquire a bit about investments in the digital economy, swing by National Maker Faire today (June 16th) until 7pm EST and check out the Capital One booth!
