Did you know that the University of Rhode Island holds the the largest commercial pattern archive? Called CoPA (Commercial Pattern Archive), the patterns are curated by retired professor Joy S. Emery. COPA just acquired a jackpot with Butterick patterns that go back from 1871 to 2000!! Emery archives the patterns by scanning them into an electronic database. So far, Emery and the team were up to patterns from 1984 until these new vintage gems from Butterick came in. Read more about their recent acquisition here in a recent press release.CoPA also sells CDs of vintage patterns by volumes. Thanks Brian! Link.
