The first-ever DC Mini Maker Faire is upon us. We’ve got a great group of makers who are coming out to join us at the Capitol Riverfront‘s Yards Park and ideaspace DC. We’re thrilled to have celebrity teen maker Joey Hudy join us right after what we’re sure will be an impressive showing on his SAT.
Produced by Rhode Island’s Revolution x Design and the AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowships’ MaDTECHEd Affinity Group, this free Mini Maker Faire will run from 11am to 7pm on Sunday, June 8, 2014.
We encourage attendees to use the DC Metro (Navy Yard stop) to come out. There are other ways to get there of course.
Want to follow the action from afar? Want to help those who are afar follow the action? We’re using the hashtags #dcmakes and #NationOfMakers. We’ll be filling Instagram with all kinds of fun things for you to look at, and you can find us on Facebook and Twitter.
Big thanks to our sponsors, LEGO, ideaspace, the Capitol Riverfront, Digital DC, Intel, OSH Park, ShopBot, and Micro Center. We couldn’t have done this without your support.
See you at the Faire!!
