I collect things that inspire me. All kinds of things relating to tools and anatomy and technology. Recently I have been experimenting with making boxes, so I decided to make a curio box using some of my finds. I use common technique to make the box joints, utilizing a table saw sled with a spacer I keep the cuts evenly spaced. The resulting cuts intermesh and make an attractive corner joint when using two color woods, in this case walnut and oak. I use a two-part epoxy to glue the collection to the box top. For the brass hinge mechanism, I was inspired by one of my tool boxes. Enjoy!
