During the announcement we offered would-be racers a downloadable file of two example boats that they could use to get started with: theย Hamel MonoHull and the Coudersportย Catamaran. Now,ย Ocean State Maker Millย membersย Kurt Hamelย andย Spencer Zawaskyย have shared a few new fun boats for anyone interested in just racing but haven’t been struck with inspiration to design their own boat.

Zawaskyย created aย basic hull designย that he intended to be a platform for other modifications. The AEGIS Cruiser (pictured above) and the Cheese Boat (pictured below) are just a few examples of what can be done with this hull.

Hamelย took the time to make sure our favorite mascot,ย Makeyย (downloadable file)ย would get his shot at dominating the lanes like a rubber-band-powered Michael Phelps. A stretching of Makey’s arms made sure he had enough room to hold a paddle and definitely increased his comic factor.
