Makers are always coming up with fascinating projects that redefine what is possible in the everyday world. From randomly ticking clocks that also display the correct time, to a social network for the Internet of Things, from a Rubens’ tube fire organ to upcycled crafts and even sports and fitness accessories, makers make amazing projects. And that’s just a sample of the twenty-one projects already entered on the Road to Maker Faire Challenge. Presented by Esurance, one maker will be awarded $2,500 to travel to New York City in September and exhibit at World Maker Faire.
With the deadline for the Call for Makers for NYC’s World Maker Faire now fast-approaching, you can apply to the Road to Maker Faire Challenge and only be obligated to come if you win. That’s a pretty easy risk to take to showcase your project, no matter if it travels in a suitcase or requires a tow hitch and trailer to move it around.
Take a closer look at all the submitted projects below, or read more details and documentation about each project on the ‘View Entries’ tab at the contest landing page. Good luck to all the makers who have already entered the Challenge, and I look forward to meeting the winner/s at World Maker Faire!
