Sabrina is the Maker Faire Program Director. She works on stage content for the flagship fairs (Bay Area & New York), and also runs Maker Faire's global licensing program for locally and independently produced Maker Faires. She also co-creates the East Bay Mini Maker Faire in her town, Oakland, CA.
The retail Barnes & Noble Maker Faire will happen over November 6-8 and will consist of three elements:
Meet the Makers show & tell
Maker tools & product demos
Hands-on making activities
This is a great opportunity to broaden audience and awareness of the makers working in their communities. We are excited for the numbers of new families and individuals who will be learning about the Maker Movement for the first time.
All makers interested in sharing and showing projects at a local Barnes & Noble store for the Meet the Makers portion should complete the online application by end of day October 2nd.
Applications will still be accepted after the 2nd and considered based on availability. But if you want a good chance of a spot, get your application by Friday night midnight PT.
Barnes & Noble stores will notify accepted applicants by October 9th. Participating makers will be listed on the national program page for the event on the Barnes & Noble website, and promoted locally at the store level.
