Maker Faire 3D Printer Roundup: The Bukobot

Bukobot

Bukobot

I’ve been looking at a lot of 3D printer designs lately and I’m really impressed by the Bukobot. Diego Porqueras is at the Maker Faire where he talked me through some of the features of his design, from the belts made from “Synchromesh” (nylon wrapped steel cable timing belts) to the gantry made from metal beams joined with printed parts. Diego still has 3 days to go on a Kickstarter project that has already reached its goal. I’m really impressed by the design and print quality of this machine.
