Maker Faire – setting up

It’s really shaping up to be a wonderful (and gigantic event) an arts and crafts fair times a thousand. To quote some of Dale’s description a bit – it’s a showcase of creativity and ingenuity. You’ll see the the lost arts as well as the newly discovered. The old fairs were based on a agricultural economy, and you brought animals you raised or things you made (pies, furniture). This is a fair for the creative economy, but based on the work of individuals and the things they make. It’s a people’s world’s fair.
