I think Microsoft planned on announcing this on Monday, but after reading the comments here– it looks like someone figured out that Microsoft’s Virtual Earth (MS version of Google maps) is out. It has a feature called “locate me” You can install Location Finder to display your current location on a Virtual Earth map by using Wi-Fi technology. If you do not install Location Finder, or if your computer does not support Wi-Fi, Virtual Earth can attempt to find your location by using the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer.
