Cross-stitch has taken on new forms inspired mostly by Julie of Subversive Cross Stitch. It’s also exciting to see more new forms and voices come about. Blog Green’s kakariki writes about Radical Cross Stitch Posse HQ. The round up of links are invalulable and she’s even got her own cross-stitch alphabet chart for a cool font style called Cachex. It’s empowering to know that you can speak your mind through your crafts and exciting to see it happen now. Go sista!

Suffrage didn’t take away the need for women to discretely organise and handicrafts continued to provide a useful cover.
