RobotsConf: Day 2

The second day of RobotsConf, a new conference designed to transform 150 coders into makers in just 48 hours, was a blast! The day started with attendees resuming their robot builds after only a few hours sleep. Project plans made on day 1 became reality, and calls for help on specific tasks were answered by those with experience. The 3D printers and laser cutters were very busy making custom robot parts as fast as possible. In the afternoon, two SumoBot competitions and a science faire let all the attendees see the projects and have a few laughs. Highlights of the day are in the slideshow.

Later this week, I’ll post reflections from a few of the RobotsConf attendees and workshop guides, as well as why I’ll be returning for RobotsConf 2014.
