Maker Faire Nantes is going on this weekend and it’s pretty over the top. You can check the event blog for regular updates on the cool, amazing, impossible creations that makers are showing in France this weekend.
You may have seen the work of Ryon Gesink at Burning Man or a Maker Faire, but if you haven’t his sculptures our worth taking a gander at. Fire, iconic imagery, and metal, these things are really cool!
Speaking of cool sculptures… have you ever wondered what it takes to ship a large sculpture? Kyrsten Mate and Jon Sarriugarte share their experience shipping their 50-foot long serpents.
I really like the word “automagically”. I feel like it’s the “one thing led to another” of maker narratives. For a project that feels both “magical” and “automagical” — but doesn’t leave out the details — try Ian Juacian’s glowing crystal project.
Hey, do you know what brings us joy here at Make:? Seeing the cool things you guys have built based on projects that have gone up on the site and on the magazine. Commenter SS shared this photo in the comment section of their mini spin art machine and Holvin Aburto shared the video below of his Ghost Busters riff on our Monster-B-Gone Project (which you can find in our latest issue!). Thanks guys!
