New in the Maker Shed: MAKE Branded Alchemy Goods Wallets and Bags

Look closely at these MAKE branded items from Alchemy Goods. Can you tell what they are made from? It took me a few minutes too. Bicycle inner tubes! To date, Seattle-based Alchemy Goods has reclaimed 182,000 tubes from bicycle shops and cyclists and upcycled them into useful, unique accessories. The inner tubes are abrasion resistant, weatherproof, and stain proof making them the perfect material to re-purpose into something you’ll use every day. The inner tubes aren’t the only recycled item though, the straps are re-used seatbelts, so they’re strong and comfortable. These wonderful products debuted at Maker Faire and now they are available in the Maker Shed. Choose from the wallet, full sized messenger bag, and the half-sized “haversack.“
