This is part 2 of an ~8-part series I’m doing on bike-powered devices. I learned about most of these devices through the old-news Innovate or Die contest.

Here are some “sustainability” gadgets you can power with a modified bike. Sustainability for this post means things that don’t fit into one of the other categories of bike-powered devices I set up (kitchen, outdoor tools, shop tools, household tools, power generation, bikes being more than bikes). I particularly like the nut sheller, although I need to figure out more detail before trying my own:
