Vice’s Motherboard just published the latest episode in their Spaced Out series, an interview and behind-the-scenes look at the development of the Final Frontier Design (FFD) Third Generation space suit. Made in Brooklyn’s Navy Yard, the FFD space suit is the result of the unlikely pairing of Nik Moiseev, a Russian-trained engineer, and Ted Southern, an artist and costume designer. If you’ve been following the development of this project, from its 2010 incarnation at NYC’s Eyebeam Art + Technology center to their Kickstarter campaign last year, this is a wonderful addition to this fascinating maker story.
