Having good documentation really helps out when you’re assembling or repairing something of significant complexity. Now that access to a smartphone or tablet is becoming more commonplace we’re starting to see better documentation tools hit the market. Take for instance the newly released Autodesk Inventor Publisher Viewer for Android. Business looking to publish interactive 3D schematics and tutorials now have the ultimate delivery mechanism–a smartphone.
The potential impact of detailed 3D documentation available on-site, in the palm of your hand, is huge. User serviceable products are more cost-effective for the consumer and for businesses with limited skilled labor to address repair needs. Being able to look at something from every angle, scrubbing through animated instructions, zooming in to detailed information, and viewing annotated exploded views are a few of the key features everyone wants in good digital documentation and Autodesk seems to be delivering with this latest release.
