Project Steps

Prepare yourself for the fun

You will need the following:

  • Styrofoam wreath — I used a 14″ wreath, but I think a smaller one would have been better. Choose a size that works for you!
  • 2 rolls of tulle in red and light pink
  • Scissors and 13″ box edge

Prepare your Tulle

Cut 13″ strips of tulle. You could measure each piece of tulle at 13″ intervals and cut, but that takes a lot of time.

To speed up the cutting process, I found a box that had 13″ flap. Wrap the tulle around the flap, clipping it in place. Then cut the tulle at the edge of each box flap to get a lot of 13″ tulle strips very quickly.

Your tulle

After cutting all the tulle, you will have two stacks. Great Job!

Red

Take two pieces of red tulle.

Tie each onto the wreath with a double knot.

Tie, Tie, Tie

Tie two pieces of the light pink tulle in a double knot.

Go back and forth between the colors working your way around the wreath.

Finished

The Valentines Day wreath is finished once all the styrofoam is covered up. Easy!

Jazz it up!

I have a Silhouette Cameo machine. I cut out two different designs to make this wreath pop.

If you don’t have a cutting machine, that’s ok. Design your own paper decorations or come up with an idea of your own.

Hang it on your door and ENJOY!
