When I saw this my roommate and I thought it was such a good idea we ordered some bricks off eBay and made a working cellphone/USB device charger. Using just one Motorola plug and a USB dongle. Turns out they will both still charge at the same time as well as power other devices. (pictures soon) + instructions. Beware making that little dongle piece by taking the power plug brick apart its hard work!Posted by marshallpeck on January 13, 2008 at 00:12:28 Pacific Time

The details are in the article, but in a nutshell, I spliced the device chargers (wall warts) onto 12V Lego bricks that come with Technics and Mindstorms sets.

you can get a general idea of how I did it, but please pick up a copy of the magazine to read my witty prose, and loads of other great projects!
