We’re just under two weeks away from Maker Faire Austin, and today, we’re taking a look at some of the sponsors and exhibitors who are making all the fun possible.
Singer Sewing Machines

SINGER® , the brand name synonomus with sewing, will provide the sewing machines for Swap-O-Rama-Rama so swapers can easily deconstruct and reconstruct their swap finds. And for those visitors not participating in the Swap, SINGER® will also have a lunch bag project at their booth outside of Swap-O-Rama-Rama.
Duncan Crafts

Get out the glitter! The Crafty Chica herself will be at Maker Faire on Saturday, October 18. Kathy Cano-Murillo will showcase her new line of products from Duncan Crafts, and with Day of the Dead just a few weeks after the faire, there couldn’t be a more perfect time to grab some of her fun projects and supplies.
On Sunday, Duncan will have Candace Marquette of CandyPurse.com in their booth. Candace is a fellow Texan, and has a new book coming out in early 2009.

The folks from Taunton Press will be at Maker Faire exhibiting some of the fun things you can find over at CraftStylish.com, like their Make it Pink Challenge. They’ll also be launching a new contest called Dare to Make it! Holidays at Maker Faire Austin. They are daring crafters to make all their own gifts and decorations this holiday season and providing the ideas, how-to projects and moral support to make it happen. Look for more information at their Maker Faire booth.
