Pachube Internet of Things Hackathon in Eindhoven, the Netherlands

Calling all developers, designers, makers, mixers, mashers, tinkerers, philosopher-mechanics and sales engineers! Join us in helping to define and build the Internet of Things on Global Internet of Things Day! Use Pachube if you want, or build on other APIs – make something physical, or virtual; hardware or software; conceptual or practical – the point is for us to spend 24 hours connecting up our things to the web, our environments to our things, and our things to US!

We host this hackathon event in Eindhoven in MADlab, (Vestdijk 280, 5611CZ Eindhoven). Participation is free after registration. Food and drinks in open contribution format. Register as individual or team by sending a mail to info@madlab.nl.

The event begins this Friday the 8th of April, and ends 24 hours later.

Red Bull Creation Campaign Targets Hackers and Makers

Calling all Inventors, Makers and Hackers. This summer, we challenge you to roam the streets of New York, and the alleys of your imaginations to create the future. But first we want to see how you think. Beginning April 8th, we invite you and your team to submit your creation in an online qualifier. All we give you is a theme. And maybe some Red Bull, once you complete registration. Submissions will be judged by a panel of experts. The winners will be invited to compete in this summer’s Red Bull Creation competition.

    Don’t be surprised if you got some excited Flemings at the Minneapolis gig – ‘minne’ is an old Flemish term for certain procreative activities, so a Minne-fair is likely to be interpreted quite exotically…
