The new Lego Mindstorms microcontroller brick, the EV3, sounds pretty great! It has an ARM9-based processor running Linux, which means that hackers are chomping at the bit to tinker around under the hood. To that end, they’ve released the EV3 source code on Github.
To get an idea of how cool the Lego hacking scene is, there’s even a EV3 hackathon at the OHM2013 hacker convention going on right now in the Netherlands. I’ll report back once I get my hands on one.
