World Maker Faire NY Video Highlights
MAKE: Live Stage
Andy gave a talk at Maker Faire New York’s Electronics Stage, and shared his enthusiasm for embedded Linux boards like the BeagleBone and Raspberry Pi. His robot is based on the BeagleBone Black and has a Valent F(x) LOGi FPGA development board added. An FPGA is a reprogrammable circuit that helps Linux talk to hardware. For example, a FPGA board could interpret a motor encoder’s high-clock-rate data much better than the processor alone.
The LOGi, of which Andy is a contributor, was successfully Kickstarted recently, and is available for the BeagleBone and Raspberry Pi.
