If you ever get the sneaking suspicion that your phone might be up to no good, then maybe you ought to consider killing it by making your own signal-blocking pouch with this resourceful tutorial by artist Aram Bartholl from a workshop called KILLYOURPHONE.COM. It works by using a special kind of copper or silver coated fabric, called HF+LF Shielding Fleece, which creates a Faraday cage that blocks all electromagnetic radiation from your phone when it is sewn together into a simple pouch.

KILLYOURPHONE.COM is an open workshop format. Participants are invited to make their own signal blocking phone pouch super fast for little money. This workshop was run for the first time at the Chaos Communication Congress in Hamburg end of 2013. You can run this workshop yourself at your place, school, center, festival, show etc and make signal blocking pouches with your friends, neighbors and visitors. Protect your privacy! Discuss surveillance and learn how to sew, it is very easy. :))
