Need a custom-fitted superhero costume? Better get your knitting needles out and dive into your yarn stash like cosplay enthusiast Fangirl Physics did when she knitted herself an entire Captain America costume by hand!

Although she didn’t put out a pattern for this project, she did share thorough documentation of the process of making the costume and then described how she did it.

Each individual knitted piece was hand sewn to other pieces (such as where the white part and blue part of the sleeves connect). For most of the cosplay (besides the belt, some parts of the star, and mask/hood), I only used a knit stitch. The belt and hood were made using a loom.

So, go ahead and take a crack at knitting for your next cosplay adventure, because anyone who can make a costume like this is already a super hero as far as I’m concerned!
