Quick Tip: Perspective Drawing with String and a Paper Clip

Art & Sculpture Craft & Design
String, pencils, and paperclips on a wooden table.

We just had to share this video that’s blazing across cyberspace today. It shows a draftsman working on a building perspective drawing. To assist him in drawing lines and adding shading, he has anchored a piece of thin string to his drafting board and then he is using a paper clip to hook the string and pull it to create a guide for all of the perspective lines he’s drawing. So cool! This definitely goes in the category of little “hacks” that are so obvious and “why didn’t I think of that?”
