NOTES: The schematic shows both external power in and a 9V battery; you can use one or the other to feed the voltage regulator, depending on whether you want the lamp plug-in or portable. If you use a battery, you can connect it through the bridge rectifier, like external voltage, or bypass it.

Don't see part numbers for the mini GM tube or the step up transformer. The article said they were available but I have checked the web site and only the kit is now available. The kit is too expensive for me but with just a few odd parts, I can build the rest myself.Posted by boyd on September 06, 2011 at 18:30:07 Pacific Time
