In this video, we visit somebody MAKE readers are likely already familiar with, Limor Fried, aka Ladyada, from Adafruit Industries. Limor talks about Adafruit’s kit business and the development of the Tweet-a-Watt, a modification to the Kill-a-Watt home energy monitor, which twitters data about your energy usage.

Before I decided to work towards making a career change, I was just getting into electronics and taking classes at a local tech to learn. After seeing Adafuit Industries and reading about Limor Fried, I was inspired to go further and shoot for a Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering. The work that she does is amazing to me, and I want to be like that.
