It takes a book like One-Yard Wonders to make you realize the potential of what you can make with simply one yard of fabric! Authors Rebecca Yaker and Patrica Hoskins fill the book with 101 sewing projects for you, your kids, and practically every room in your house. The spiral-bound book comes also with a pocket with lots of pattern pieces. Some of my favorite projects are the ones for organization and clothing. I’m still amazed that all of the projects can be made with just one yard. This book gives you a great excuse to splurge on a variety of patterned fabric since all you need is one yard!

There are so many great clothing projects in the book for women and kids. I’m loving this strapless belted tunic (you could wear this now with a black turtleneck under!) and this adorable Ballet-Neck Toddler Dress.
The projects for the home are not to shabby either. I’m in dire need of organizing and cleaning. I love this Sewing Tools Trio project where you can sew up a sewing machine cover, wrist pincushion, and needlebook holder. I also love this hanging wall pocket — a pretty way to sort your bills.

I need to make a dollar stretch around the block a few times, that is why I need this thrifty book.
Ok, I have TONS of one-yard pieces of fabric laying around. I think this book would not only inspire, but help me to purge & actually use up some of the fabric I’ve been hoarding LOL
I need this book desperately! I love sewing and picking up new fabric whenever I can, but as a college student one yard is generally all I can afford! I’d finally be able to put all those random yards of gorgeous fabric to use!
oops, forgot to include my contact info:

I would love to have this book. I have all those small pieces of fabric lying around – because I can never decide which fabric to buy at IKEA, so I take a yard of each – and then I don’t know what to do with them…
I have one skein wonder books for knitting. I really like them for last minute or spur of the moment projects. I think it would be great for sewing.
I would love to win this book!!! I really need ideas for sewing with just one yard of fabric since fabric is a bit expensive nowadays. Thanks.
There are many books in the world I need, but as an aspiring seamstress who sees the need to find the best way to reduce waste and still be creative, I think this book will be another step on my journey with all its info on using a little to make a lot!
My two cents,
Zuri
I need this book because I am a poor graduate student and 1 yard of fabric is always a splurge for me!
I have tons of 1 yard pieces that I just had to buy, but don’t know what to do with them. This would be perfect!
I love a good stash-buster book!
Bring on the small projects for Christmas!
daricelr@yahoo.com
I need this book so I can use up my stash! -and have an excuse to buy more fabric, of course :)
This is what my stash was made for!
I love the idea of this book! Fabulous. I would love to use up my stash of 1 yard wonders. I am trying to give homemade gifts for the holiday and think this would be the perfect item to get me started.
maria@mcccreativedesign.com
i need it because it looks A-MAZING! that, and because it will free up some space in my closet for more fabric!
I tend to buy waaay too much yardage for my projects and end up with 1 yd remnants I don’t know what to do with. This book will give me some creative ways to use everything up. Thanks!
I NEED this book because I’ve been trying to find some good sewing projects since I’m a beginner and this would be the perfect guide to help me out!
Mandy
I need this book because I work at a non-profit agency that uses art therapy with children and adults. This book would be great for ideas and would help us keep costs down with the use of only one yard of fabric!
I need this book because my quilting & patchwork cannot keep up with my fabric supply. I finally learned to buy 1/4 yard cuts, but with some prints I just can’t help myself.
I need this book to help me get rid of my fabric stash!
I need this book ’cause my stash is out of control!
I’m new to sewing and want to take baby steps before going all out. This book looks perfect!
The ladies at my daughter’s church are always looking for ideas for their sewing group. this would be ideal for them.
I want this book beacuse I want to win something.
I have so many fabrics that I have just 1 yd of because I love the print….and I haven’t done much with this little stash. This book would provide the perfect inspiration to get me started! :)
i need this because i want to make that adorable strapless tunic!
I need this book! I can’t resist material and buy small yardage whenever I can. I’ve now gone back to school and have no time for big projects but small projects might just save my sanity!
I keep buying fabric but don’t seem to know what to do with it. This would definitely help de-stash with cute results.
As a former quilter, I have a sizeable stash that I need to reduce. Still, I can’t bear to give away all that pretty fabric, so I’d love to have this book for project ideas.
as I have just bought my first sewing machine!!! Ever!
I need this book because I refuse to purchase fabric in fractions—I’m always afraid of running out, then I worry I’ll screw up so I don’t end up using it. I swear I’ll mend my ways come 2010 and this book will be the cornerstone of that resolution.
i´m a beginner sewer and i´m not to good at it… this will bring me many many experimenting ideas.
thanx
This book sounds awesome! I have so much fabric that i love, but don’t know what to do with! My husband would appreciate me whittling down my stash!
i have tons of random fabric laying about the house because i thought it was pretty, but they are all about a yard because i dont sew a lot and didnt want to spend a ton of money. this would be a great way to put the fabric to good use.
I need to win a copy of One-Yard Wonders because I am a beginner to sewing and I’ve got to start somewhere and show off my newly found crafty skills to all my friends.
I’m constantly finding fabric I love and buying a little of it, but not enough to do anything substantial with it. This book would be perfect to use up all that fabric.
Small amounts of fabric are less intimidating to me since I am teaching myself to sew. And there is a pattern in this book by June Gilbank of PlanetJune and she is so awesome!!!
Thank you for the chance.
I am a poor college student too stingy to throw away her scraps. This book gives me hope!
My fabric collection is at least two bookshelves full. This book would be great in helping me use up all those scraps and leftovers!
Waste not, Want not!
I buy and hoard fabric in 1 yard increments (usually because I can never commit to more than 1 yard at a time). This book would be PERFECT for me :)
I’d love this book! I have a hard time committing to more than one yard at the fabric store.
Ten plus years ago, my boyfriend (at the time)’s mother gave me a great big box of fabric. There were these small pieces of some of the most beautiful vintage and hand embroidered fabrics that I have ever seen. I’ve been keeping them in tow ever since waiting for the day I’d be struck both by the inspiration and the bravery to make them into something. This book looks like it.
I have a whole pile of small pieces of fabric. Went a little crazy at garage sales this summer!
Every time I go to the craft store I somehow end up in the clearance rack for fabric remnants, most conveniently cut to 1 yard or a bit less. Because I bought so much cheap fabric that was SO CUTE I just HAD TO HAVE IT, my fabric stock could likely stack to stand the height of my room.
I NEED this book. Something must be done to start working through this pile of pretty fabrics before they surround me completely and make it impossible to leave my room!
smleh.ymer@gmail.com
I have SO many one yard cuts of fabric – I see something I love, but don’t have a project in mind, so I just buy a yard.
I need it so I can make lunch bags just like that for the family. Wow, they are great!
I love the whole concept of this book. I have so many fabric remnants; it would be great to put them to use.
I have so many small pieces of fabric… I’d love to know what to do with all of them! (Plus the projects in this book look so cute!)
I’d like a copy of the book so I can see if it really is possible to use just 1 yard to make a dress that would fit a normal sized human being.
…because I have a big ole fabric stash and no good ideas to use it all up.
This would be perfect for me. I seem to “collect” one yard cuts of fabric, since I can never decide on a project when I am at the store. And those dresses! Adorable!
Fingers crossed!
I really need this book. The dog bed the so perfect, and the lunch bags I love…
I have a lot of fabric and need help with being creative. ..
I have a compulsion about buying a yard or two of every gorgeous patterned fabric that I find. I have a cabinet bulging with stacks of different fabrics. This is the perfect book to work my way through all of the beautiful finds I have. I need this book. :)
I could use this book because my grandma is helping me learn to sew and I think there could be some great projects we could do in here together.
jfox1217@gmail.com
With 101 projects, this book would surely have inspiration to keep me busy through next year! I rarely buy more than a yard at a time, so this is just perfect!
I have got to make my dollars stretch these days and I end up buying just a yard of fabric because I love the print, but don’t have any plans for it. This book would solve those problems! :)
I would love this book because I don’t like projects that take longer than an evening. Longer projects never get accomplished around my house. :D
Because I’ve been convincing my husband of getting a pug, I need this book.
Also, I LOVE to make new projects from scraps, etc. I’d love to have this book to make more cute sewing projects for around the house or as gifts.
Most of my fabric stash is 1 yard cuts – and I have no idea what to do with most of it!!! I need this book!!!
Fabric is so costly! It would be great to see what you can make with just one yard! Love this idea!
shannoncarman at yahoo dot com
Oh. My. Goodness. I need this book. Years ago, I started buying 1 yd. of my favorite fabrics. Now I have a rubbermaid full of stash fabrics and no plan. This would give me purpose for the fabrics.
I am an elementary art teacher in Detroit and have a lot of 1 yard/2 yard fabric scraps that i could turn into things for the school, have the kids do some hand sewing.
Dseikaly@uprep.com
I need this book so that my pretty fabric can come out of the closet and be seen!
I would love this book to help me get started on sewing. I have a machine, I have fabric, I have enthusiasm, but really very little skill and direction. I’m hoping the book would get me started on the right track.
mail@craftycripple.com
I need this book because I don’t have the patience for huge projects, and once I’ve used a fabric for one project I’m bored with it & usually don’t want to use it again!
I am a stay at home housewife taking care of a disabled husband. Selling what I sew helps make what little we make stretch a long way. This book would help with projects and ideas to supplement our income.
i need this book because my local library doesn’t have it and i’m learning to sew. i have a couple one yard pieces of fabric that are just waiting to be made into something fun.
thanks for the opportunity!
Wouldn’t my pugs look adorable with the cute bed featured on the cover! But how do I make it?? Please help me!
I really could use this book! Every time I go to the craft store, I always stop by the remnant bin and so I have accumulated quite a bit of wonderful fabric in very small cuts. This book could help me turn those remnants into useful things! And with Christmas coming up shortly, it would be great to save some money and make some presents using all of those remnants.
How great is this? I know sometimes I’ll come across remnants that are a yard or so that I can’t resist. What a perfect way to use those up!!
I’d get to use up stash and make cute gifts, too!!
-Sara
I have so many yards of fabulous fabric, I would love to attempt some of these projects, especially the Sewing Tools Trio project
I love this book! The other day I went to the book store and I looked inside. It was awesome! Love all the projects. They are really well made and easy to make it. i would love to have it to make new cute things. Thanks for the opportunity! Good luck to all!
Lolo :-)

When I started sewing this summer, I thought that collecting fabric was like collecting yarn – buying a yard of fabric’s just like buying two skeins of yarn. You can probably make a scarf or something right? Now I have random fabric and I’m running out of people to make bags for. This book would be helpful at this point.
I buy vintage fabrics all the time with no use in mind. I would love this book to help me bring these fabrics and organization to life.
jackysylvie@hotmail.com
Thanks so much for letting us know about this book! I’ve been buying single yards of fabric for years now without projects in mind and this would be perfect! I may even have to go buy it if I don’t win…
I need this because I was gifted many scraps from friends to learn to sew with and I have yet to use them. I think most of the scraps are under 2 yards!
I am a fabric hoarder, a frugal fabric hoarder, so I have heaps of small cus of fabric – I also have a short attention span, so simple projects are where it is at.
My fingers are crossed.
i’m addicted to sewing since my husband surprised me with a sewing machine a few years ago. I’m still learning and making lots of mistakes. some my fault others because I try to work with a 2 yr old in the house : ) I think i’d get a lot of of a book like this. thanks.
My stash is full of one yard of this and one of that, so I need this book to use it up!
I need this book because there are so many awesome fabrics out there and I buy a yard here and there and then have a collection of random yards of fabric in my stash.
I need the book because I have a ton of one yard cuts of fabric LOL! I’m always finding fabrics I love and think “I’ll just get a yard and find something fund to make with it” but now I’ve run short of ideas, so this would be perfect!
I need this because I’m just sort of getting started sewing and it would be nice to have projects to try that only required one yard. That way when I totally mess it up (hopefully not though!) I only wasted one yard of fabric instead of more.
Times are tough, and I’d love some great ideas for high-impact gift projects that won’t break the supplies budget.
I LOVE craft books of all kinds. I am also a student, so trying to collect books I actually have to buy, is a bit challenging. I also have a bunch of fabric remnants sitting in my craft room waiting to be used! Please choose me, it would make my horrible autumn quarter seem very unimportant, and would brighten my holiday! ox
As a new seamstress, I’m always looking for small projects. This book seems like it would be right up my alley! Thanks for such a cool giveaway! :)
My wife would love this book. It would be a great gift for her for Christmas, winning it would be fantastic since we aren’t suppose to spend much on each other.
Thanks!
Could really use this book. Just purchased various yards of fabric in pretty prints and need some inspiration. Not so good at coming up with patterns and this book would be a godsend.
I’m a beginner sewer and I’d love to create some projects with some of the great fabric I have. I find it easier to buy cute fabric then come up with something to do with it!
This would be fabulous for my daughter, who loves to whip up things for her adorable 3 year-old and 11 year-old daughters, not to mention a thousand other wonderful things. She’s also part owner of a scrapbooking/media-art/creativity-gone-wild store, and I already see designs many of her customers would love. She’s raising her kids like I raised her and her siblings: so much more fun to make what you need than to buy it ready-made. Plus, with the pile of 1-2 yard fabulous cloths in her sewing room, she’s ready to plunge right in. (Maybe grandma might get a few nifty presents, too!)
Oh boy I need this book because I buy way to much 1 yard of fabric just cause I can’t resist and then never make anything with it cause its not enough! LOL Thanks!
i am a elementary art teacher in Detroit and have lots of 1 yard craps that the students can use to make things for the school.
Dseikaly@uprep.com
sorry, posted 2 times, did not think it worked the first time.
When my grandmother passed last year, she left a car-full of fantastic vintage fabric scraps and remnants to my mom. We’ve been working here and there to use the pieces, but wanted to make something for all 29 or Stella’s children, grandchildren, greats and even one great-great that knew her and loved her so much…using this fabric of hers, of course. Needing some help with ideas. So match great fabric, and so many deserving family members. (She left quite a legacy!)
I love this idea! For those of us with a meager sewing budget, it looks like a great resource. Will definitely be checking it out whether I win one or not.
… and also because so many of my bloggy friends are in this book! That’s why I need to get my hands on a copy. :0) Thanks for the chance.
I am just a sewing novice but I love to buy just a yard of fabric that catches my eye and then never know what to do with just one yard!
Hi! I need this book because I have so many one-yards of everything that I don’t know what to do!
Years ago I worked at a fabric store and I’m still working through the stash that I accumulated. Most of the pieces I have left are a yard or two long at most, and it’s impossible to find any more. Help me destash so that I have room to store new fabric, please!
I have so many 1 yard pieces and no ideas. This book will be great to have to help use some of those fabrics up!
This book would really help me use up the stash of cute fabrics I already have and give me an excuse to buy “just a yard” of the new ones that catch my eye.
Wow – what a cool book! I need it so I can use my own fabric designs and random yards lying around…would be so nice!
I need this book to give to a friend who has just begun to sew….these would be great projects for her to tackle! And I could borrow the book, too!
Up until my 4th child was born, I was able to do quite a bit of sewing. That first year after she was born, my sewing time became extremely limited. The addition of children #5 and 6 put the kabosh on any hope I had of getting back to sewing like I use to. I still hanker to sew though – just need small, easy and quick projects that will fit in during naptime, between running kids to and from everywhere, etc with instant gratification potential. I pared down my stash considerably as I just didn’t have the time to do all those projects. However, I just could not bear to part with some of my nicer fabrics – most of which are right around that yard mark. I lucked into an Amy Butler sampler – all one yard cuts – a couple years back. How I would love to turn that into some lovely Christmas gifts for my extended family. With finances tighter than ever this year – I am going for a handmade Holiday. This book would help so much in that endeavor.
this looks amazing! i could definitely use this book, since i’ve been unable to find a job for going-on-five months now, and it has tons of great [and super-cheap] handmade gift ideas.
OOPS! Got so excited I forgot my contact info . . .
mjschuck(at)juno(dot)com
I want this book so badly. I *need* it because I have so many random yards of fabric. A yard is my go-to amount for fabric I love but don’t know what to do with. Also, so many of these projects seem like they’d make time/cost sensible gifts.
I’m brand new to sewing, and the projects in this book would fire me up with that nearly-instant-gratification excitement that makes me more likely to stick with it for the long haul.
I’ve had my eye on this book! I have lots of 1-yard cuts looking to become projects!
I LOVE craft books of all kinds. I am also a student, so trying to collect books I actually have to buy, is a bit challenging. I also have a bunch of fabric remnants sitting in my craft room waiting to be used! Please choose me, it would make my horrible autumn quarter seem very unimportant, and would brighten my holiday! ox
Looks like a fantastic book. Thanks for the chance to win!
Oh, I’d love to get this book as I have a whole load of scraps and 1-yard fabrics, of course.
I also want to get back into sewing! :-)
I recently retired and am doing all I can to help out my children who have toddler children. That adorable dress would look wonderful on my grand daughter! I love the chance to be creative and frugal (one of my favorite words!)
Thanks for the chance to win!
Wow! This book looks totally rad! I’m in dire need of inspiration. This book looks like it will have plenty of it!
Thanks for the wonderful giveaway opportunity. I often see fabric that I must have, yet don’t have a designated project in mind. 1 yard cuts seem to be my preferred amount for these finds. In an effort to use some stash, this book would be a welcome way to spark creative ideas and keep me on track.
As a newly retired granny, I want all the ideas I can get for things to make for my 2 grandkids and still remain frugal. That dress would be wonderful on my grand daughter! Thanks for the chance to win!
I’m just learning to sew, and these projects look inspiring! I’d love to have this book. Thanks for showing it to us.
Oh, I would love to have this book! What a great way to use fun fabrics!
This looks like such an awesome book! Oh, how much I could do! I need/really really want this book because I don’t really have the money to buy tons of fabric.
I recently moved into a 3 bedroom apartment – allowing me to have my OWN sewing room! I haven’t been inspired in a few months to sew anything and I have fabric lying around and I think this book would spark my creative nerve and inspire me to CREATE!!
trac82@msn.com
A must have for this crafty, not much time-havin’ Mama
oh, that book looks fantastic!
Looks like an awesome book. I hope I win.
I love it!
I am a fabric junkie with a Need to discover new and fabulous ways to use the yardage. Thank you.
azarse@me.com
This book would be perfect to help me clean out the beautiful fabric I’ve been given by my mother-in-law and the mother of a friend. It owuld help me make cute gifts at little to no cost…a MAJOR PLUS in anyone’s book. Thanks for the opportunity to win. Christmas blessings to all.
Three weeks ago my husband lost his job. I’m now trying to make Christmas happen while spending little to no money. I have spent the last two weeks looking through all of my issues of Craft and various websites to find projects I can make from things I already have. This book could really help me this year.
i need this book because i am too poor to buy more than one yard of all that beautiful designer fabric! :)
Would love to get this book. I have a room full of stuff that needs to be organized, perhaps this book can help me? Also, I am always tempted to buy different fabrics and 1 yard per project will allow me to explore using a variety of fabrics. I am a sewing beginner.
I am a fabric junkie with literally bins and bins of fabric and many of the pieces are 1 yard cuts. I would LOVE to have a book on what to do with a yard!!
I often buy a yard of fabric just for the color/pattern, what have you – – my husband always asks why I am just buying a yard because he knows it won’t make much but I say I love the pattern/color and MUST have it – – this book will give me an excuse to use some of the lonely yards I have in my stash (so I can replace them, teehee) :)
i have so many small bundles of fabric that are pretty much yelling at me to use them. i need this book!
an entry in haiku:
Craftiness concealed,
Lonely, the sewing machine,
Inspiration sought.
Perfect for remnants! I want this!
jessicahacken@gmail.com
I would love to have this book. I’m still fairly new to sewing and would appreciate the great variety of projects to help me learn. And the fact that each only requires a yard means I can afford the projects and not be overwhelmed with lots of fabric. Hopefully seeing one-yard wonders would help inspire me to think of my fabric with more potential.
This is a fabulous idea, I need some stash busting help! The projects on the cover look very tempting, and I’m curious to see how to get some of them out of one yard. sunshyn_stef@hotmail.com
I love Craftzine, I love sewing, I would love this book!!!
I’d love to win this book because I’m always buying only a yard or 1/2 yard at fabric stores. I’m in need of some good 1 yard projects to use up the stash!
I have lots of fabric and BOY would this book come in handy!~~~XXOO, Beth
ehfedorko@peoplepc.com
When I fall in love with a new fabric (which tends to be often), I allow myself to buy just one yard so that I don’t have to live without it. This book looks like it would be a great way to use some of those yards that are currently filling my closet!
I buy single yards of fabric all the time, but very rarely have any projects to use my growing collection on. This would solve that problem.
I love this idea! I find myself buying different fun fabrics and then not knowing what to do with them. My husband would also love that I used the fabric I bought over the past couple years :-)
I like quick and easy projects and I am always looking for new ideas. This book seems like just what I need!
I too tend to buy a single yard of fabric if I can’t live wihtout it but don’t have a specific project in mind. So for my orfaned yards I really need this book.
Love to see info like this! I have dozens of yards that I would love to do something different with! I do lots of repetive work with my scraps and it would be great to breakaway and do some fun gifts (or things for ME!!)
I *need* this book because I have a horrible addiction to fabric! You must help me rid my house of the overwhelming ‘just one yard because it’s so pretty’!
I find myself buying yard cuts of fabric at vintage shops, thrift stores, and yard sales, just because they strike my fancy! I do the same with skeins of yarn, and One Skein Wonders was fantastic for clearing out my stash a bit! This book is a necessity in my craft corner!
What a great book! I am in serious need of getting rid of the giant pile of scraps overtaking my sewing area, this would be perfect!
Oh I would love this book!!! Have a huge stash with 1 yard pieces of fabric!! Kind regards form Sweden
Inger Carina
I try again my other comment didn’t show :D
Kind regards
Inger Carina
Very cool book. Would love to find a use for more of my fabric in the fabric bin.

My local fabric store has the best fat quarters that I can use if I win this book. Wahooo!
I would LOVE to win this! I have tons of single yards of fabric just waiting for inspiration… – peachicken@gmail.com

my e-mail address is gottagetcrackalackin@gmail.com
Stash reduction, stash reduction, stash reduction!
Pick me, pick me!!! I have a gazillion pieces of fabric from different people. My neighbor’s daughter’s mother-in-law. The thrift store girls who save the big pieces for me because a)they know I sew and b) I make them cookies. Can anybody here be bribed with cookies?
I would love to win this book for my girlfriend. She is learning to sew and these projects will point her in the right direction – so fun! anmcfarland@gmail.com
I would LOVE to win this! I have lots of fabric perfect for some of these projects. Just in time for Christmas too!!!
This book looks full of neat project ideas.
For a budding seamstress like myself (with an unemployed husband no less), this book would be fantastic.
Fingers crossed at erin.h.norris@gmail.com.
Hi Craft Muses!
I’m just getting into sewing now and this book looks like it would give me everything I need to finally finish a sewing project (and have it come out looking like intended!) Please pick me sew I can begin sewing with a cheaper and less likely to disappoint barrier to entry!
Thanks,
-Courtney
I go to estate & garage sales whenever I can, and I always seem to end up with at least 2 or 3 pieces of fabric (usually for less than $0.25 a yard!!) that are only a yard or so big. I’ve made quilts and little bags with them, but I’ve run out of ideas for using just a single yard. I could definitely put this book to good use using up my 100+ cuts of single yard material!
This is just what I need to get into sewing!
I totally need this book because it has been on my Amazon wishlist for forever and I suffer from a pitiable condition that causes me to buy “just one yard” of every cute fabric I see. To finally put all those “just one yards” to use would be most excellent!
And my three pugs definitely need some cute little beds just like the pug on the cover. And at “just one yard” they could each have their own!!
A whole book with projects that only need one yard of fabric?!! YES, PLEASE!
I just received a sewing machine for my birthday last month, and now I’m itching for small projects to get started on!
I am currently studying abroad working on my MLIS. I made sure to haul my sewing machine across the border because my creativity keeps me grounded and keeps homesickness at bay, but with my course load and little apartment, big crafty undertakings aren’t really an option. One yard projects sound just right :)
sometimes all you can afford is a yard. :)
This book looks so neat, I need small and fast projects to keep my crafting sharp in busy times :)
Oops! I thought logging in would link my e-mail, but I was mistaken: csilkotch@gmail.com
Oh I need this book because I have a ton of fabric that I need to use on cool projects. Decreasing my fabric stash may save my marriage.
I have a pile of “about a yard” fabric languishing in my craft closet. This book would be perfect! What an awesome idea. Thanks!
because i have lots of yards that need to be used up.
This book has been on my Amazon wish list for weeks! I just got a sewing machine a few months ago after not sewing for years. I need the inspiration and the guidance! :)
Just like there is never enough time, there is simply not enough room in my house that I share with three roommates for me to be holding on to the bins worth of extra fabric that have been following me around for years… I would love to have ideas for projects awaiting me in a handy book!
cpepper3@hotmail.com
I need this because I am still a sewing novice–and making something cool out of a mere yard would be so empowering!
I would love to give this book to my mom, who has just re-found her love of sewing after spending the past 20-ish years running my brothers and I around to sports games and dance practice.
I am fairly new at sewing, but I am addicted! I only have a few yards of fabric that are not scraps from my Mother’s colection so I would love to have access to patterns that would let me use my special cloth to make cute stuff!
I’m always trying to make presents for friends and family, but usually run out of ideas, time and/or money. This book looks like it’ll provide the perfect balance. I’ve already thought of the perfect person for each of the projects pictured on this site…!!
I would *love* to get a copy of this book! I discovered fabric co-op a few months ago and I ordered many pretty fabric in 1 or 2 yards. Now I need to find projects to use these fabulous fabric on!

I need this book because I’ve had a horrible month: my apartment was robbed, the washer and heater broke, my family heirloom jewelry was stolen, and its been one work or school problem after another. The solace I find in my craft projects is what’s keeping me together, and there are only so many place mats and napkins this beginner sewer can make! Please provide me with new distractions!!!!
As a grad student, I don’t have a lot of income, so I buy fabric at garage sales and from the scrap bin. I am always looking for fun projects for gifts, new clothes, or decorations for the house. I also don’t have a lot of time, so these smaller projects would be perfect for balancing lab work and relaxing while sewing!
kstrausser@berkeley.edu
i need this book because i’m a college student who LOVES to craft but doesn’t have the time or space for big projects. this would be the perfect book for me!
I always find fabric I love and it would be great if I could buy a yard and be confident that I have many projects to choose from to use it for from the book!
OMG! This book would be wonderful! I am always looking for short projects to help me increase my sewing skills! Can’t wait to find out!
i have a horrible habit of buying only small pieces of expensive fabrics i like, then not knowing what i can do with them.
OMG! I would love this! Always looking for a short projects!
i was sitting here at borders browsing through this book when i opened my laptop and read this post. the book is very cool. i especially like the number of patterns/tutorials, and the fact that there are different authors. i would love it!
I usually never buy pieces of fabric larger than one yard since it’s so expensive. This would be great to expand the type of things I can sew with one yard!
I have some fabric I have purchased just for the simple fact that I liked it. This book will give me an idea of what to do with some of it. A great way to reuse scrap pieces as well.
I’ve made a rule for myself that I can’t buy more craft materials until I use up some of my stash…but I need some new ideas to do that!
I love to sew and always want something to make. I need this book so I can always have a new, original idea to keep me busy and able to keep my sewing knack. Fabric can be expensive, so having a project that only takes 1 yard of fabric is perfect!
This would be a great book to have as I get into sewing again- no huge commitment in terms of materials (one yard! I can manage that!) Also, it would go along brilliantly with the One Skein Wonders books I have.
I have been charged with teaching teenage girls to sew. What a great resource. The pictures look like it is exactly the book I need to get them interested and to stay within my budget.I love the clothing projects shown.

My mom and sister would both love this book! My mom because she has tons of one yard pieces of scraps left over from numerous sewing projects throughout the years, and my sister because she has just discovered how awesome sewing is – and one yard of fabric isn’t that expensive.
Or I could just take the book myself and make awesome Christmas presents…
I’ve got a bad case of RSI from knitting and crocheting and I NEED this book as I’m learning to sew in order to save my arm for future use. And with a tight budget, small 1-yard projects are ideal!
I would like this book because I too am a remnant buying maniac and really need some good ideas for using them.
I need this book. I’m too busy to take on long and involved projects but need a creative outlet!
I have tons of 1 yard cuts of fabric in my stash!
Yes, that’s me. I always justify buying 1-1 1/2 yards extra because I think, “What if I decide to alter the pattern, I’ll NEED more” or “What if I miss-cut, I’ll NEED more” or “This is so pretty, I NEED some for my quilting stash” or “Oh, it’s on sale, I NEED a little”….Do you see the problem?? I love the variety of pictures of things I could make as gifts, for my home and for myself to use my stash of NEEDed extra yards. So, PLEASE justify the “justifier”….I would LOVE to have this book!! Thanks for the give-away!
Mainly because I have such a huge stash of diddy bits of fabric, and I have a self-imposed fabirc buying ban until I use some of it up. So if I won this book it would contribute to the craft economy as I would be able to buy more fabric :)
I find fabric that I love, but then end up not wanting to cut it. I’m sure I could find lots of projects that I would want to make in this book
I need this because I really want to get started in sewing but I’ve to start with small but cute things :) And try not to spend my entire money in fabric (especially when I’m still learning :D)
I’m still trying to figure out how to sew, so getting this would be a great way to use very little and see a great result!
I have so many small cuts of fabric from shopping in the remnants bin at the fabric store, so this would be excellent inspiration to use up the bits and bobs. Some of those projects also look like they’d make great gifts, and I love giving handmade gifts!
My mom gave me her old sewing machine last year and I’ve yet to uncover it. This book is just the inspiration I need to begin creating projects with the yards of fabric that I screenprint at home. I would love to have this book!
When I see cute fabric I buy just a yard and now I’ll finally be able to make something with it!
I need this book to give to my friend Rachel, who just got a sewing machine and needs some ideas for fun things to try with it.
I’d love to have a copy because I need to bust my fabric stash and I’m on a severe budget right now! I’ve completed all my big projects, and I’d like to be able to do something with all the leftovers!
I have so may random 1 yard pieces of fabric that I have no idea what to do with.
I’m new to sewing and craft in general. This looks like such a great book to help me get started, especially with the season of handmade gifts here.
I would love to have this book. Sometimes you only have a small amount of time, a small amount of fabric and need the satisfaction of a great project. Plus, I read the blogs of a number of the contributors so it would be wonderful to have a collection of their projects. :-)
I need this book because I am a total fabric hoarder and I need to use some of it before it takes over my house! Help!!!
I’m a crafty girl married to a grad student and mom to one with another arriving in a few months. It puts a huge smile on my face to think about a book that will help me get my craft “fix” in a pretty inexpensive way!
jennifer.scheer@yahoo.com
wow I would LOVE this book! And i definitely need it, because back in the day, before i started really getting my crafty on… i used to always buy just 1 yard of the fabrics i liked because i didn’t know what i would make with it! so now I have piles of one yard wonders all about, and have yet to figure out what to do with it all! so with this book… problem would be solved. thanks!
I never could resist those piles of remnants. Not to mention all the clothing–“It doesn’t fit but the fabric’s great!”
I’d love to win because I have a sewing studio full of fabric that needs to be made into something! Thanks for the chance.
I would love this book to help me improve my sewing skills! I’ve been recycling old comforters, sheets and fabric scraps and these projects would be a perfect way to do so!
I’d love this book. It looks like it has some great projects in it.
I really need this book! It will help me use up my ‘stash’ and improve my sewing skills.
oh my! this lovely book would be just the thing in helping me with one of my crafting goals for the new year: use what i have and buy less fabric!
I really need this book! It will help me use up my ‘stash’ and improve my sewing skills.
woefulwednesday@yahoo.com
I need this book to help go through my stash! If I see something that really jumps out at me I tend to buy a yard or two of material, even when I don’t have a project in mind. Which has led to a large stash of large pieces of fabric that I don’t have any specific use for.
And quick projects really are more my cuppa :)
This would be an awesome Christmas present for myself. I often buy fabric on sale, usually a yard at a time. I love making crafts for others and this would be sooooo awesome.
i would love to have this book. i need this book because i have to work down that fabric stash before my husband will let me buy more!! looks like there are some great projects in the book.
I have so much fabric and this would really help to clear some of it up (and help me be ok with buy *more* cute prints – hehe)
I WANT THIS!!! I saw this book on a blog a few days ago and fell IN LOVE!!! I’ve yet to even win a giveaway and this would be the best one to start it off! Haha!! I am addicted to the $1.50 bin were I shop and im always buying new prints for cheap, this would be good to turn all of that madness into projects!
As a college student I don’t have the time nor money to invest in lengthy projects that require a lot of fabric. I have a stockpile of fabric from my grandma and mother that I would LOVE to use but I can never think of projects that require little fabric or don’t take a lot of time. This book would be perfect for me and I could really embrace sewing (I’ve always wanted to be a legit sewer instead of just an occasional…rare sewer).

sharpmel@msu.edu
I always buy a bit too much fabric, out of fear that I am going to mess something up and need more. My fabric stash is full of a yard of this, 3/4 yard of that… This would help me get rid of those odds and ends!

And apparently I could also use a book on how to check if you already posted…twice before…
Gifties for the holidaze from my stash…yippee!
I’d love to be one of the lucky winners! My mom and I have lots of fabric and this book would be an inspiration to us. Thanks for the chance to win!
Whenever I find a fabric that I HAVE TO HAVE, I buy a yard of it… even before I know what to do with it. This book = problem solved. :)
crissy_hartl@yahoo.com
What a great excuse to buy a yard of whatever catches my eye! I’ll know there is a project idea waiting at home!
I need a fabric rescue – help my fabric please!
Karen
This book would help me clean out about half of my closet and make room for new fabrics!
Yeah, that whole organization thing? I am in dire need of some new ideas to help me with it. This book would be perfect!
Thanks for the opportunity to win a copy!
Why do I need this book? Seriously, have you seen my fabric stash? :P I would love some tips on how to use it up with quick projects!
I need this book. I have a lot of fabric and I need some inspiration!!!!!
Oh I’d love this book! I’ve inherited tons of fabric, but all in smaller pieces and I’m always trying to think of what I can do with it all! This book looks like it would be so helpful!
reyrae@gmail.com
I’d like to win this book because I’m just learning to sew and it would be super helpful!
Awesome! I have tons of fabric I need to put to use!
I have quite a few pieces of fabric that would be just perfect for the things I see on the cover. I think I’m drooling… :)
I would love to have this book!
I am an extremely amateur seamstress, and I would love to have a book full of simple projects that don’t require a big investment in fabric. I need the practice!
This would be awesome since the designer fabrics I like are too expensive for me to buy much more than 1 yard!
I need this book because it would help me turn my stash into Christmas presents!
I need, NEED this book because I just got a good look at that fabric organizer and my heart is all a-flutter over its organizational goodness. I love storage and organizers, and something so pretty obviously MUST be made!
I have a stash of left over fabrics that is just not enough to make a shirt or a dress. This book will be a great inspiration as well as a practical tool book to have.
Like many who sew, I have a stash of left over fabrics that is just not enough for a dress. This book will be an inspiration as well as a great tool book to have!
deb_kid@yahoo.com
i would love this book because i am just getting into sewing and huge patterns are not something i can tackle yet. i already have lots of small pieces of fabric and this would be perfect!
Growing up as a seamstress’ daughter I horded 1 yard remnants. Now that I am “grown” up and out of the house and therefore on a very tight budget… I find that all I can usually afford is 1 yard segments of fab fabrics. My hubby and I just moved into our first house and I would love to get some fresh and creative ideas for organizing my home by using the fabric remnants I have. When I saw the divided organizer on the cover of this book I just knew I had to leave a comment! It would be the perfect solution to my bathroom (and craftroom) clutter!
because I have tons of single yards of fabric and don’t know what to make
because I have tons of single yards of fabric and don’t know what to make
I’ve just gotten a new pug Dora, and I want to sew her a bed just like the one on the cover!
i would LOVE this book to use up all those single yards of fabric i have around the house! this looks like it’s filled with great projects!
I need this book because I keep finding (and buying!) small pieces of interesting fabric in the remnant bin and have no idea what to do with them!
I’m still a beginning sewer so those projects would be great to learn from. Also, since my piggy bank is empty, 1 yard of fabric is usually all i can splurge on :/
I first heard about this book well over a year ago, and I’ve been waiting and waiting for it to come out! I’m so glad that it has, can’t wait to see it!
As a beginning sewer I have so many scraps of fabric from failed projects and leftovers. I’d love to get my hands on this book to make some awesome Christmas presents since college students like me have no monies.
With a brand new baby, and not too much extra time or money, this book would be perfect to let me get some craft on without spending too much moola. Also, what a great way to introduce my little baby boy to the awesome world of sewing and fabric!

I am still a beginner at sewing and often get overwhelmed with the larger projects I want to tackle. One-yard patterns seems like a great intro with simple and practical projects. I’m a huge fan of one-skein wonders for knitters, so i know this one will be a good one!
-Audrey R.
I have alot of 1 yard pieces because I always seem to forget how much material I need for a project. I also have a daughter who is starting to sew and using up more of my remnant stuff. I have been waiting for this book to come out and could soooooo use it.

i would love love LOVE this book! it would help me whittle down the piles of yard cuts i have all over!
I need this book! I love to look at all of the cute fabrics at the craft store, but can never bring myself to actually buy the yardage that I think I need. But if I only needed a single yard, I could justify many more projects, and many happy hours of sewing :0)
I am a mommy with very little time and usually only able to buy a yard of fabric! This book would be GREAT!
i would love to have this book because the little dog bed looks perfect for my kitten! :)
I would love this book. I have been so uninspired and yet I have boxes (literally) one small pieces of fabric. Plus, I have a toddler so small projects is all I can do.
I have a serious fabric buying addiction, so I always buy small amounts of fabric b/c I never have a specific pattern in mind. This book would be perfect for me to use all my single yards of adorable fabrics lying around my house and put them to good use!
My fabric stash is full of one yard fabric. This book will help me cut down on my stash.
Diana
I’d love to have this book because the projects look simple, lovely, quick!
I totally don’t need a reason to buy more cloth!
With a freezing Canadian winter scratching at my door and an 18 month old to hang out with, I need something to occupy my little hands! We’re going to be practically housebound for months! Pick me! Pick me! Puh-leeeeeeze!!
I would love this, I love all of the great designer fabrics but more than a yard is sometimes a little too rich for my budget. This would fit the bill!
cuckoofacebaby@yahoo.com
I need this book! I have 15 years of collected single yards of fabric, which I just bought for the lovely patterns & textures, and have never used.

As many of us face the ever increasing time constraints of the fast approaching holiday season, this little gem could come in handy for a last minute gift using what we already have. The true bonus is saving me time by using something that I have on hand while keeping me at home finishing a project rather than out in the holiday traffic & general retail outlet congestion, all the while reducing my carbon footprint and reducing that ever-growing stash of *who-needs-a-specific-project-I-just-HAVE-to-have-it-because-it’s-SO-CUTE* purchases. (I know I’m not the only one out there!)
Plus, I have a yard of the cutest broccoli print fabric that I have NO idea what to do with!
I so need this book, for one thing I LOVE books and I desperately need some ideas of what to do with all the end of material that I have and did I say that I LOVE books, especially sewing books.
I really need this book because I have an addiction to remnants. I try to get them as close to a yard as possible and have a nice collection going. My husband keeps wondering when I plan on doing something with them. I have been looking into getting this book so If I won it would be a great Christmas present for me! :-)

OOh – I’d love one! I have a serious fabric stash that is growing by the week and if I don’t start making stuff soon I’ll be found dead under a pile of fabric some day!
Having returned to sewing after a few years without it, I realize that I’m actually building quite the remnant stash. I would LOVE this book to help knock out some projects– that belted tunic has my name all over it :)
Oooo this book looks lovely! I need this book because
1. I have been teaching myself to sew and am very excited and want to sew everything.
2. I have a very limited supply of fabric. (So projects using 1 yard sound gooooood!)
3. Because I love sewing so much, my sewing machine is always out. However, it doesn’t have a cover (big sad face) BUT from the pictures it looks as though I could make a cover for my sewing machine with the help of this book (big happy face)!
Thanks for the great blog!

I have so much fabric, and most of it is in one yard cuts! Looks like this book was created to help me use up my stash!
Of all the crafting books that I covet,
and hope to get this holiday season,
this is the one that would be the most useful
and the one with most reason.
My many remnants and splurge purchases of ‘why not, I love
this fabric!’
would find wonderful homes in being made into objects
rather than flat squares
stored in my closets.
kori.rae.429@gmail.com

Need. I want to eventually see the carpet in my craft room.
I would love this book, I like quick little projects I can sneak in. My husband and I have decided not to buy presents for each other this year, so it would be great to win myself one. BTW, Iove the new site!

I would love to have a copy of this book. Any book with simple short patterns and designs is right up my alley…I just bought a house this year and found out I am expecting my first child so I am going to have to get use to the short simple projects =) Plus, who wouldn’t love a book who gives you great ideas on how to use 1 yard of fabric…especially since it seems the prices of fabric continues to increase

I was just drooling over this fab book yesterday at Barnes and Noble. I always dream uup these complicated projects and never get to them so I need something to inspire me practically, and motivate me to get out the sewing machine.
I prefer to make quick small projects because I’m a mom, I work and there’s only so much time in a given day! This book would be awesome!
Oh I need this book! I’ve had it on my wishlist at amazon and I need it because usually all I can afford to buy is one yard of fabric so this would be great for me!
OH! Yes please! This book is right up my alley… I love my single yards of fabric and finding projects worthy of them is difficult! Smaller projects give me that little bit of “me” time that we all need so much and help to keep me sane. I will love this book and give it a good home, please pick me!

I LOVE TO SEW, but always feel like time is my enemy. With these quick and easy patterns, nothing will stop me.
Why do I need it? Because I’m a frugal seamstress ;) I never buy more than a yard of fabric as I buy my fabric in thrift stores. I’m also a huge fan of vintage bed sheets and table clothes. Can you imagine how big my stash is?
Thanks a lot for your magazine and the blog. I would love to read such things in France…
I need this book because I’ve recently been learning how to use my sewing machine. I started out in October by making a Halloween costume for my 10 month old. This book would be great for me because I want to try new projects, but I’m afraid to invest in a lot of fabric at once.
I have a stash of 1 yard fabrics begging for this book, I’ll keep my fingers crossed on their behalf.
I have a bazillion pieces of left over fabric that are just sitting in a bin b/c I don’t know what to do with them.
I’d love this because of all the nifty gift ideas it contains!
Would love to have this! I am an artist and recently started experimenting with fabric, yarn and prints and this will be perfect to have more knowledge and start with a few projects as shown in the book. Thanks for the giveaway!
I love picking up great fabric and usually will get a yard at a great price. I would love this book.
When I find fabric I love but don’t have a particular project for, I just by a yard. Now I have tons of “one-yarders” LOL
What a fun book to have !
oh my goodness, i neeeed this book! just inherited my Grandma’s sewing machine and i love it, but i’m still intimidated by large amounts of fabric
My parents just moved to a house half the size of their old one and my mom passed on four boxes of fabric to me. What am I going to do with it? This book looks like it will contain the answers!!!
I would use this book with the scads of small amounts of fabric taking up my sewing room!
I NEED this book! I have it on my list to buy actually. I have an online shopping problem and I just keep buying 1 yard quantities of fabrics! There are so many beautiful fabrics out there at the moment… I just can’t help myself!
I need this book because I’ve heard there’s a project in it featuring fabric I designed. I wanna see it! And I love smallish sewing projects; everything here looks great.
Thanks for the great giveaway!
I NEED this book because I have a basket full of fabulous fabric — in one yard increments!
Thanks!
I could use this book to try and get my stash down to more manageable size! This books looks like just the thing I need!
I just got my first sewing machine.. and I think this book would get me started.. on my first sewing adventures!! :O
I really LOVE that organizer box! My notions would fit in there perfectly.. mostly since I don’t have many yet!
I hope I win! :)
Oh how I need this book,
Because I have 1 yard fabrics galore!
All I need is to take a look,
So I can sew a little more!
I seriously have about a whole 50 gallon tub filled with fabric!! Pick me!
All the best, Sarah Lee

Every time I go to a fabric store, I have to buy some fabric and I dread that one question from the sales clerk: “So what are you making?” because I never have an answer! I just buy more fabric with nothing to make. Now I have several 1-yard pieces that I need to use up. Plus I went to Tokyo earlier this year and got lots of fun fabrics, so I need this book so I can actually use some of these awesome fabrics!!
Thanks.

I purchased this book for a friend and while I was in a local quilt store shopping for fabric, the shop owner took over my book oohing and ahing over the projects. It’s was hard to get it back from her! I need one for me!
I have tons of yard sized pieces of fabric because I can’t usually afford to buy more than that. So this would be perfect to use up all those beautiful fabric I have.
lindseycarey@sbcglobal.net
I NEED this book because I’ve got a boat load of fabric remnants I’d like to use up!!!
I need this because sewing is addicting!
I NEED this book because one yard is all I can afford!
I would love to give this book to my SIL for Christmas! Thanks for the fab giveaway!
I need to bust through all the 1 yards of “fabric i cannot resist so i bought a yard, but it’s too small to make much with so it sits, untouched, filling up my craft space”
skirtmusem at gmail dot com!
Oh, this looks like a wonderful book for all the lovely fabric I’ve been collecting!
i have recently started sewing and i am addicted to buying fabric. because i never have a project in mind, i only buy a yard at a time…my yards are piling up! this book would be a push to use up some of my new fabric hoardings!

I love to make things for people, so this book will enable me to shower my friends and family with gifts (year-round!).
My mother and grandmother are both amazing seamstresses and I’m trying to follow suit in my own small way. I have been bequeathed my mother’s sewing machine and oh-so-many random yards of fun fabric. Would love this book for inspiration and encouragement to keep building on the sewing skills I know are in my genes!
I seem to end up with one-yard pieces and don’t know what to do with them…I. am. dying. for. this. book.

What a great book for cleaning out my stash! I have been admiring this book all over blogland this week–I want one so badly–I may have to order one for myself as a hanukkah gift if I don’t win….
Looks like the projects are a great way to use up my stash!
I have not one, but TWO friends with adorable little pugs like the one featured on the book cover, with one notable difference – their pugs don’t have beautiful handmade sitting cushions. Please don’t let two poor little pugs go cushionless this holiday season :-)
WHAT A NEAT IDEA. At my age I need some new Ideas.. Looks like a fun book to use with beginners also.

I need this book because there are a ocuple of bloggers whose posts I read, that are featured in the book.
I need this book because I have a huge stash of fabric that’s around a yard. I could make all kinds of cool stuff with it!
What a great giveaway! I am dying to get this book. I have huge stash of fabric with a lot of it being around a yard. All the projects I have seen from this book look really easy and doable.
This would be a great book for me! Just recently I have been using my sewing machine more and really enjoying what I’ve been making. I never buy more than a yard or so at a time, sometimes without a project in mind. A yard is the perfect size to use for any project because it’ll never cost more than $10 (in my cheap Jo-ann’s craft world).
I am finally getting a sewing machine for christmas this year and would really like to learn to make these things
I could really use this book to pare down this mountain of fabric that competes for space with yarn and fiber. It would help with Christmas presents also. Shauser@sc.rr.com
I would love to have this book because organizing all of my craft supplies is my new task…and being able to make things out of my extra fabrics would speed that organizing along!! :-)
I have several one yard fabrics. What do I do? Thanks for the chance to win.
I’m fortunately from a family of crafters and we all love making presents for each other. However, I currently have one niece and nephew with another on the way, and now I have an entire new (in-law) side of the family to craft for! So finding ways to use less fabric for more beautiful presents is full of win. I’m hoping I can someday teach my niece and sister-in-law how to sew, and what better way than to start with good projects like these?
Plus I want to get my fabric stash back from the cats. They’ve claimed it as their favorite sleeping space.
I couldn’t figure out how to sign up so I could enter the contest, so I gave up and am commenting “anonymously”. PLEASE PICK ME!!! I haven’t sewn in awhile, and I’m quite nervous to get started again. I bought a new sewing machine and a bit of material. I would LOVE to have this book to help me get started again. I know I’m not ready for any big projects yet, and this book would be wonderful to start out with. Thank you!! tkcharlesworth@aol.com
I would love this book, I am always looking for small, useful items to make for the Handsewn Crafts class I teach at the local Community College!
I need this book because I am totally broke, and a yard of fabric is about all I can afford :)
I have a collection of one-yards of fabric that was just too cute or cool to not get. This book would be fabulous to bust through some of it!
The projects on the front look really lovely.
Oooh! Awesome. I have some fabric that should definitely be used up. I can make some awesome gifts from these patterns!
I need it, because I have commitment issues, and one yard is just right for me!
I ran an at home business for a while and as a result I have a room full of small sections of fabric (mostly 1 yd increments) that I am convinced I’m going to use up. This book could help get that all under control!

OMG- why do I need/want this book?
BECAUSE I have not 1 but FIVE plastic bins of leftover material from previous quilt and other projects, just sitting there staring at me!

As a craft spaz, I need direction in what to do and what to do it with. I would LOVE to have a book aimed at my short attention span that would inspire me. Thanks!
It seems as though whenever I find a really fantastic bolt of fabric that costs more than a few dollars (Amy Butler, for example) all I can talk myself into purchasing is one yard. I now have a very nice pile of one yard cuts and nothing at all to do with them. But I just couldn’t help but buy them at the time! This book looks like it’s just my style.

I just love this idea, having a huge box of leftover fabrics, many a yard or a bit more. I’d love to know what to do with them! Based on the article, I can see that my granddaughter would get a lot of clothing & lots of cozy things for the house would begin to turn up if I win this book. Thanks for the giveaway!
I loved one skein wonders and at the time thought one for fabric would be great, so yay that is now out!
would love this book… always looking for new ideas!

Wow. Ok. So a million people also want this book… but it looks really great… so I’ll throw my hat in too!
Thanks for the giveaway (whether I win or not – you can really see how many people are visiting the site!!)
Omg, it would be perfect should I win this book! My sewing machine is finally repaired and I’m itching to start on a few new projects. Soonish (second half of december -__-) it’s also that time of the year when one has to study her ass off and little crafting projects would be the perfect thing to relax my mind once in a while!
I’m pretty much just starting out with sewing, and would find it great to win this book for all the ideas it offers. I usually will only allow myself to buy one yard, since I’m new to the whole thing. :) SO yep, I’d LOVE to win this :)
Dollie
what a great book and the projects look like a lot of fun! :D
i have so many random yards of fabric–this book sounds like a great resources for a pack-rat/long-sewing-project-starter-but-never-finisher like myself.
I’ve always been a little intimidated by sewing, but I think starting on new projects like these would be a great way to get my feet wet and hopefully start a new love.
I need this!
1) We just sunk our life savings into buying a house and I have no money for big sewing projects, but have lots of 1 yard scraps!
2) Since we just bought a house we have SO MUCH to organize and it looks like there are good home-organizing projects in here
3) Since we just bought the new house I don’t have time for BIG projects. But I don’t want to neglect my sewing because I absolutely love to sew.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! I’d buy it myself, but I can’t afford anything! (see #1).
THANK YOU!

I go to fashion college, just moved into my own place and I have a ton of yard-long scraps left over from projects that I never know what to do with! I can’t get rid of them because they’re pretty high quality fabrics and I hate to store them away for too long. Plus, projects that don’t require too much fabric tend to take less time, and with a full time job and classes to attend, I need to cut my hobbies down to as short a time as possible!

I would love to win this book. I have a bunch of fabric that i am wondering what I should do with it.
My husband and I just had a baby, and it seems like all the baby stuff has been taking over our tiny little one bedroom apartment lately.. I saw this book while enjoying a free mommy moment away the other day, and the projects looked so fun and (generally) simple… and it would be nice to create gifts for family who live far away by doing a little bit of crafting without creating a great big mess with the few moments of free time I get during the day. Besides, growing up, it always felt like the homemade gifts I got from my mother, grandmother, and aunts were so much more meaningful, no matter how simple they were. I have no idea what would make me deserve winning such a cool book… but I figured I might as well try. :)

Every time I go to the book store I look for this book and they never have it!! I need to get a copy!
What a great book! I would love, love, love to win this! I do a lot of charity sewing. I see a few things I could use my stash for to make and donate to one of my causes.
This would be an excellent aid for my new year’s resolution to whittle away at my fabric stash (more of a hoard, honestly). In the past I always ended up buying only a yard of fabric because its pretty, without any idea what I was going to do with it.
I came so very close to buying this the other day, but decided since it’s Christmas time, I’m not allowed to buy myself any crafting books. I’d so love to have it to help out in making Christmas gifts!
This would be the perfect birthday present for a friend of mine!
I need this because I can’t sew…and when thinking all I need is a yard to start a project, it doesn’t seem so daunting & I’ll try :)
Need a change from my knitting & crochet
LOVE LOVE this book! Thank you for a great giveaway!
i have the one skein books and love them – can’t wait to add this one to my library
I need this book because I love “One Skein Wonders,” the knitting book, and I am also a sewer with lots of small bits of fabric dying to be turned into wonders!
What a great book! Thanks for posting this giveaway. I need this book to de-clutter my fabric stash.
Oh, this is absolutely the best! I have so much fabric it is time to get to work and make something with it. Yes, sign me up! I would love to have some quick projects to make.
Yay! I’d love to have this book just in time for my mother-in-law’s birthday! great giveaway!
I need this book because it’d be the perfect birthday present for my best friend! Her husband bought her a sewing machine for their anniversary (back in August) and this book, plus a few yards of pretty fabric, would complement it perfectly!
(Not sure if my first comment was posted successfully so here I go again.)
I need this book because it’d be perfect for my best friend’s birthday present! Her husband bought her a sewing machine for their anniversary a few months ago and this book, plus a few yards of pretty fabric, would be a perfect complement!
I’m learning to sew and this would be a wonderful tool to have! I LOVE to go to Garage Sales and/or thrift stores and I always find awesome fabrics, but they’re usually pretty small to work with. I hope you can help a sewing virgin out! Thank you!
