Craft & Design

Rad Megan sent us a link to her amazing felted Monarch butterfly with this nice explanation about its origins:

I’ve always loved the look of framed insects, skeletons, and fossils — the perfect blend of science and art! Felting, mounting, and framing a Monarch butterfly is a great way to achieve the look of the Natural History curio case without killing any beautiful butterflies.

We agree that hers is the perfect combination of craftiness, cleverness, science-loving, and talent. Make sure to check out her steps on how to make your own, as well as her photo essay of her felted butterfly set free in nature for a few hours.
