How-To: Mason Jar Bathroom Organizer

I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely guilty of obsessively collecting containers. Vintage canning jars? Check. Glass storage containers? Check. The peanut butter jar that I emptied last week? Huge check. So, whenever I see a clever jar-incorporating DIY, it speaks right to my glass hoarding heart. Case in point: this mason jar bathroom organizer tutorial from DIY Playbook.

Have you seen this kind of thing before? Probably. This method of rustic-inspired storage certainly isn’t a new idea, but DIY Playbook’s project is a beautifully executed, wonderfully useful example, so I think it bears repeating.

Beyond the bathroom, this organizer system would also be right at home in the kitchen, in the garage, or in the craft studio. Want to make one? Head over to DIY Playbook to see the full how-to!

Super cute. I know from my own mason jar storage experience, that you can’t reach to the bottom of them, so storing things like cotton balls isn’t very realistic. Even Q tips, sometimes I have to tip the jar, or just refill it before it’s empty. But toothbrushes, makeup tools, etc. would totally work. Love it.

I’d definitely use smaller/shorter mason jars for Q-tips and cotton balls. :) -Haley on CRAFT

    Haley,
Thanks so much for featuring our Mason Jar Organizer!! These are the perfect way to save counter space and stay organized, plus they’re not completely overwhelming to DIY. We love them and love that you can remove the jars & clean them whenever. Thanks for sharing!!

Q-tips and cotton balls are much easier to reach if you fill the respective jar with tissue paper that you use in your gift bags. You can even find it to match your bathrooms color motif ! ! Then you can reach your goodies and add a touch of decor !

It’s good that you can remove the jar for cleaning, makes life a lot easier. I particularly like this idea as, generally, jars and bottles left on the side of the bathroom end up leaving stains and rings on the surface top that can be difficult to remove. Hanging them as storage containers will mean less cleaning!
