Now bear with me, I think this is just as gross as anybody, but how clever! Since I don’t eat meat, using it as a building material seems just as reasonable as using cement, which I also don’t eat. Anyway, this sausage house with a bacon roof is neat. I can’t figure out what the lawn is made from, though. – Link.
(Thanks, Brandon!)

That is totally disgusting!
Am I the only one reminded of the game Kingdom of Loathing (in which meat is both currency and building material)? I am? OK. :-)
I love that game! I hadn’t thought about it, but in that game, this house would be like having a house out of gold!
Quite possible that the grass is guacamole — it’s a Mexican food condiment which is mainly avocado based, although I’ve never seen any that’s *quite* that bright a green…
Actually I think it might be colored rice (the grass)
I don’t think it’s any of those things. The rice is underneath the whole structure, the green stuff is poured on top of the rice. The whole thing appears to be baked, so it can’t be guacamole. But I could be wrong. I have no idea what it is.
Could the grass be parsley?
Ugh…Just one more reason to go vegetarian!
You can’t post anything about meat without a vegetarian putting in their 2 cents.
awwww being a vegetarian is no reason to ignore materials science! ;)
Ha! I know, it was just for comedic effect. I like materials science. Thanks for the comments, guys!
How many dense meat stacks does it take to make the meat house?
Anyone seen this:
Food Landscapes by Photographer Carl Warner
Really nice photos of composed food landscapes – including the one of meat!
Hey all, we actually made the ‘grass’ out of sausage meat and lots of food colouring :)
That is so cruel. Do you know how much suffering the poor animals went through for you to make this out of their flesh. Doesn’t it disturb you that it is made out of a dead animal’s body – poor thing, if only it were still out in the field now and the sluaghter company hadn’t chopped off it’s head.
