Amazing model landscape photography
breaking_point.jpg

This is not, in fact, an actual volcano. It is, rather, the work of Matthew Albanese, a photographer who builds meticulously detailed landscape models and then lights and shoots them to achieve amazing realism. You can view more of his work here. My personal favorite is the Martian landscape made from paprika and charcoal. [via Neatorama]

  1. In what way do you mean “amazing realism”. Realism in the fact that they look like photographed models or something else? It´s not like the models look like something that actually exists. If anything it´s superrealism which is a lot more exciting. Something that looks real but doesn’t exist in real life.
