Our intrepid space-beat reporter Rachel Hobson spotted these cool model Hubble Telescopes on the Hubble website:
There are three versions: a PVC pipe version, a basic paper model version, and an expert paper model version that even includes the internal structure of the telescope. Why not host a little Hubble-building party with some friends and then go see the new Hubble IMAX 3D movie? I caught the movie at it’s public premier here in Austin at SXSW a few weeks ago, and it was amazing. Get to know the telescope a little better by building a model, and then go see the movie to appreciate even more the glorious images it has returned to earth and the incredible folks who have maintained it over the years.
