In honor of Geek Crafts month on CRAFT, we put up Brookelynn Morris’ LED Hula Hoop tutorial on Make: Projects.
LED hula hoops are so beautiful to watch, and creating a custom hoop is a satisfying challenge. Twenty-one LEDs are used in this hoop; 6 are flashing LEDs that cycle through the colors of the rainbow. Each light is combined with a resistor and then wired together in a classic and simple parallel circuit.

Thanks Becky and Brookelynn.
I bought a kit from the Maker Shed during the 2009 Maker Faire San Francisco Bay Area, because my sweet wife wanted to learn to solder, and see loved Hula-Hoops as a youngster it was a the right kit.
With this swell tutorial, it is time ( next day she is free ) to bring it up from the basement an get it going.
