Intricately crafted from watch components, with the occasional automotive light bulb thrown in, jeweler Justin Gershenson-Gates solders together these beautiful mechanical creatures. Many reference terrestrial critters and are even anatomically correct. Others are borne of Justin’s imagination, and make me imagine a planet far, far away populated by mech-insects.

It’s not all arachnids! This dragonfly is entirely soldered together, and rests on a winding stem attached to a watch case ring stand.
This scorpion’s exoskeleton makes obvious use of former watch faces, and has an anatomically correct 6-segment tail.
Another spider, the legs are made from multiple winding stems.
On another planet, this creature is probably alive!
About the size of a common house spider, the “Spider” series all have small lightbulbs in place of their abdomen.
