Steven Seagal Captured in Cross Stitched Embroidery Portrait

It looks like the self-proclaimed “Kingpin of Contemporary Embroidery” Jamie “Mr. X Stitch” Chalmers has discovered a new “manbroiderer” who, just like his embroidery subject, doesn’t mess around! His first stab at embroidery was this incredibly detailed portrait of Seven Seagal, an undertaking that he gave careful consideration before embarking upon.

First of all; let’s be clear, the choice of Seagal as a model was ironic, I’m not that much of a fan. It’s my wife that got me in cross stitching, she was making some cool stuff and I was like “hey why not start something”. I didn’t take it seriously at the beginning but I quickly became an addict, that bloody thing is like a drug!

This new cross stitch convert simply goes by Pierre, and I certainly hope we’ll see more exciting embroidered works from him in the future, because as Steven Seagal himself put it, “Any great warrior is also a scholar, and a poet, and an artist.”
