The show features 15 works by 16 artists from 9 countries, as well as performances, workshops, lectures, and an awards ceremony. Participating works were selected from an international open call for “robotic art and art-making robots”, and represent a broad and inclusive cross-section of the tremendous range of creative art and robotics activity.

Each year ArtBots awards two prizes at the end of the show: The Audience Choice Award and the Robots’ Choice Award (chosen by the participating artists). This year we commissioned a “made from scratch” model airplane from Phillip Isohe of Kenya as the Artists’ Choice Award. The plane is made completely from scrap materials and feature functioning lights and propeller, as well as highly detailed interior and engine components.
