Makers are taking over the historic Mint in downtown San Francisco on November 23-24. Coming right before Thanksgiving and the holiday season, Makers@theMint is a pop-up retail event featuring unique handcrafted goods and other maker merchandise. Makers will turn the old Mint into a giant maker department store. There will be a technology pavilion showcasing the latest technologies in and other pre-production prototypes.
The event is the work of Maker Mart, a non-profit incubator project of Intersection of the Arts whose mission is to give Makers and Artisans a high-quality retail experience. There is currently an open call for Makers & Artisans who want to show and sell their creations to the public who can apply online at www.makernexus.com/application
This event will be open to the public, free of charge and full of maker merchandise, food, music, and entertainment. This is a rare opportunity to get to see the inside one of San Francisco’s most iconic and oldest buildings right in downtown near the Powell Street Station. Check out www.makernexus.com for more details about the event and Maker Mart.
