As you may recall, about a month ago, we launched our Halloween Contest!
We called out to the makers in our community and asked them to submit full step-by-step tutorials for their haunted house projects or costumes, and they really delivered! We’ve had 50 entries so far (a few more might trickle in before the deadline, Nov 16th, 11:59 pm PST) and they’re great!
There will now be a period of judging and voting and then we’ll be giving away some really cool prizes.
Prizes:
Grand Prize – Project featured in Make: Magazine & online + 1-year subscription to Make: Magazine + DIY Pinball Machine in Battle Mode with craft supplies
Costume & Makeup – Project featured in Make: Magazine & online + 1-year subscription to Make: Magazine + Make: Getting Started with Wearables Kit
Haunted House – Project featured in Make: Magazine & online + 1-year subscription to Make: Magazine + Compressed Air Rocket Launcher for paper rockets
For each prize, there’s two ways to win; Editors Choice, or People’s Choice. The editors are going to be judging on several criteria:
- Originality
- Aesthetics
- Fun
- Completeness of the project documentation
However, there is still the People’s choice! Get over to the contest page and vote on your favorites by giving them a thumbs up, or “respect”. Voting ends on November 23 and we’re planning on announcing winners on November 3oth.
