Last month, I spent some time with my best friend in Denver. As I do with any city, I try and find the crafty must-see spots right away. Some Internet sleuthing lead to me a few great finds, the first being Fancy Tiger.
The vintage store front at Fancy Tiger Crafts greets you right away. Inside the shop, it feels like a crafty step back in time, with tin ceilings and wood floors. The store is packed with all sorts of sewing needs, from goregous fabrics to the latest and greatest in books and educational items.
Every availabe space is used. I had a hard time deciding what to get, that’s for sure. I saw racks of threads, tools, patterns, you name it.
The stacks of oil cloth were too hard to resist. Not only does the store sell amazing supplies, it also offers great crafting classes for folks of all ages.
In addition to the craft offering from Fancy Tiger, Fancy Tiger Clothing is located right across the street, tucked in next to great vintage stores and indie cafes. I had a great time chatting with Matthew, shop host, and learned all about the local and indie fashion and accessory designers the store features. Per usual, find a crafter in any town and you can chat for hours.
