Step away from the turntables and the seaย of knobs and switches and use the rhythmย of your body to drop some beats with theย Dodecaudion music controller.


“Most of the time, gestures are a byproductย of performing live music. We asked what couldย we do to change that,” Kozniewski explained toย the TEDx audience.
The Warsaw-based artists began developingย Dodecaudion in 2010 using breadboard prototypes,ย but really got going a year later whenย they partnered with Hedoco, a company thatย helps Polish innovators develop open sourceย products. Code for Dodecaudion is available atย Hedoco’s website, and users are encouragedย to share and remix their creations.
“We strongly believe that open sourcingย a product is the way to make it evolve andย develop,” Kozniewski declares.
