Brian King plays a very important role in my morning ritual. I get up, immediately fix coffee, and pour it into a mug that Brian made. I never thought I’d have a favorite mug, till I got this one from Brian.
Though he does work a day job, Brian finds time to continue creating these delightful pieces, which can be found in the homes of many of his friends. A gentle giant, many also know Brian as a person who has rescued many pugs over the years, giving them comfort and love when they were abandoned.
Here’s a bit about Brian, in his own words:
“Brian was born and braised in the down-home juices of the Ozarks. He is a lover of coffee and is co-owner of Mudhouse Coffee, a downtown Springfield, Missouri favorite for almost twenty years. He has a pottery studio in the back of Mudhouse, where he likes to spend much of his spare time. Brian has a piece of pottery on permanent display, in the Springfield Art Museum. Though he is a big guy, he likes small things such as pugs, chihuahuas and quirky old British cars.”
